Suzanne Rogerson, the incredibly talented author of Visions of Zarua and the Silent Sea Chronicles, shared an interview this morning in which I spoke of what it is like working as a narrator. Thank you, Suzanne, always for your wonderful support. Here is the link below to the interview:

Work on the third audiobook (The Sentinel’s Alliance) in my Silent Sea Chronicles trilogy is coming on really well so today I thought I would do something to celebrate all the hard work of my narrator, George Ellington. He has done an amazing job on the books and I could not be happier with the […]

George, it was really nice to get to know more about you and your background. I thought it was a very good interview, interesting job you have, and a great acting voice. Certainly I wanted to sit down and enjoy a wee dram with you after hearing your voice! BTW Do you ever get over to Union Street in Fortrose? My friend Anne owns the pub The Anderson.

The Anderson? Anytime, Jay. At least, anytime we happen to be in the same place. My shout. I haven’t been to your friend’s pub, but certainly the next time I’m in Inverness, I’ll gladly drive up there. I went to the website. They even have Polynesian night. Brilliant! I love that part of Scotland. I mean, who doesn’t love the Highlands. Apart from the dreich, of course. I hope someday to meet up with you there, mate. It would be a pleasure.

You def should go there, Anne and her husband moved from US back after George Jr. became Pres. here, and they’ve built a fine award winning pub and inn. Anne was my studio mate in art school, she used to make the most amazing gourmet meals for me all the time back then, so I wasn’t surprised to see her becoming a chef! However, forgive my ignorance…what is a dreich?

Dreich–you know, miserable gloomy wet weather. Like nearly every day in the Highlands. No, that’s unfair. I think summer lasted at least five days last year.
